Part 38: And what do the others say

Your wife, they said to Gianni. Your husband, they said to me. At first we didn’t really know what to say about it then, and sometimes we still didn’t know later. Gianni, however, had fun finding out. Tried and tested was: we are not a couple. Uh-huh. We were never one either. Ahaa. We are friends and both wanted a child. Ahaaa. Ideally, three to five questions now followed. If the person was averagely nice, then it stayed that way. However, if there was sympathy, the whole story was unpacked. However, we had agreed that it was not everybody’s business what sexual orientation we were concerned about. Co-parenting was often exotic enough and hit the core quite well. We have never received a fundamentally negative reaction. Quite the opposite. Much encouragement for a promising project that was predicted to be forward-looking.
We, however, were eager to have a child. And you can see that in her face. Our Milla.
